What is Q?

Q offers a suite of opt-in quantitative strategies that systematically buy and sell selected cryptocurrencies using predefined algorithmic rules.

Is Q a managed account?

No, Q is not a managed account. Q is a technology feature available within a self-directed iTrustCapital account. Clients decide whether to activate and choose the Q strategy they want to use. No iTrustCapital entity selects a strategy or makes any individualized discretionary investment decisions on a client’s behalf. Once a client enrolls, Q may execute transactions automatically according to the selected strategy’s predefined rules.

How does Q determine when to buy or sell?

Each Q strategy runs on its own predefined rule set and monitors market signals — including trend, volatility, relative strength, moving averages, and cycle indicators — to generate buy and sell activity. Clients choose whether to opt in and which strategy to activate. Clients can opt out and deactivate a strategy or remove funds from it at any time.

Does a person decide when Q takes action?

No. Once a client activates a strategy, Q follows that strategy’s predefined algorithmic rules when its conditions are met. By enrolling in a strategy, Q enables clients to execute their trades automatically based on market conditions and specific movements, instead of having to manually make an in-the-moment decision based on a headline, social post, or sudden price move.

How is AI used in Q?

AI supports the research and development process behind Q’s strategies, including exploring and stress-testing potential strategy designs. Once a strategy is live, it follows its predefined rules; it does not independently generate new trading instructions, improvise, retrain itself in real time or change its approach based on the latest news cycle.

Do my assets leave my iTrustCapital account?

No. Assets remain in the client’s iTrustCapital account while the client uses Q.

Can I use more than one Q strategy?

Yes. Clients can use multiple Q strategies. Each strategy has its own rules and may respond differently to the same market conditions.

How often does Q buy or sell?

It depends on the selected strategy and market conditions. Some strategies may take action only a few times a year, while others may respond more often as market conditions change. No Q strategy guarantees any minimum frequency of buying or selling.

Can I stop using a Q strategy?

Yes. Clients can start and stop using a strategy through their iTrustCapital account at any time, with no exit fees.

Why are the multiple strategies named “Quantum”?

Quantum is our in-house proprietary trading engine that has several triggers and sliders that have been adjusted to fit different investor appetites. The Quantum strategy you choose determines how aggressively or conservatively positions are entered. However, at the core, the quantum strategies are using the same trading logic.

Will Q always outperform buy-and-hold?

No strategy can guarantee results. Q is designed to follow predefined rules across changing market environments, and each strategy is developed with long-term investment horizons in mind. They may outperform or underperform buy-and-hold strategies over any particular period, and clients may lose money.
