Q1. How many Stocks and ETFs are available at iTrustCapital?

A. 10,000+ Stocks and ETFs will be available at launch.

Q2. How are dividends handled on the iTrustCapital platform?

Q3. What are the trading hours for stocks and ETFs on iTrustCapital?

A. Stocks and ETFs trading is available during standard U.S. market trading hours (9:30 AM – 4:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, excluding market holidays). Extended trading hours (pre-market and after-hours) are not currently supported.

Q4. Does iTrustCapital offer mutual funds?

A. No. Mutual funds are not offered on the iTrustCapital platform at this time, just Stocks and ETFs.

Q5. What is the onboarding process for trading stocks and ETFs on iTrustCapital?

A. To access stocks and ETFs, users must complete a brief onboarding process to open a brokerage account through Apex Clearing Corporation. Users will be prompted to complete this process before gaining access to stocks and ETFs. Existing iTrustCapital account holders can initiate this process directly from their dashboard.

Q6. What is the settlement time for stock and ETF trades?

A. Stock and ETF trades settle on a T+1 basis, meaning trades are settled one business day after the transaction date. This is consistent with standard U.S. market settlement rules.

Q7. Can I sell crypto to buy stocks, or sell stocks to buy crypto?

A. Yes, with some important distinctions:

  • Selling Crypto to Buy Stocks: You may sell cryptocurrency and use the proceeds to purchase equities immediately. There is no waiting period required in this direction.
  • Selling Stocks to Buy Crypto or Additional Stocks: Because stock and ETF trades settle on a T+1 basis, the proceeds from a stock sale will not be available to purchase additional equities or cryptocurrency until the following business day. Please plan your trades accordingly.

Q8. Does iTrustCapital support fractional share purchases?

A. Yes. iTrustCapital supports fractional share investing, allowing you to purchase a portion of a single share of stock. Fractional share purchasing is not available for all assets, but rather only eligible assets.

Q9. Where can I find my account statements?

A. Account statements will be accessible directly within your iTrustCapital dashboard, alongside your existing account statements. Please note that account statements for equity and ETF activity will be maintained as separate documents from your crypto account statements. This ensures clarity and accurate recordkeeping for each asset class held within your account.

Q10. Can I transfer an existing brokerage account to iTrustCapital?

A. iTrustCapital plans to offer ACATS (Automated Customer Account Transfer Service), allowing you to seamlessly move an existing brokerage (or individual assets) account from another firm to your iTrustCapital account with a few clicks. We are working to make this feature available as soon as possible. More details on the transfer process will be provided when this functionality is launched.

Q11. What is ACATS?

A. ACATS, or the Automated Customer Account Transfer Service, is a system that helps transfer eligible stocks, ETFs, and other assets between brokerage firms. It allows investors to move supported holdings to a new brokerage account without selling them first.
